How do I eat healthy?
In class this week we began talking about food. Whenever I am asked the question, "How do I eat healthy?" here is my first answer: Imagine you lived thousands of years ago when there was not food readily available at every corner - no grocery stores, not fast food, no gas station. You had to somehow manage to acquire food, and there were three ways you would have done it.
1. Search out and gather it
2. Grow it
3. Hunt it
The results would have been incredible whole, natural foods that provide the body with a plethora of nutrients to aid health. The reason we developed into the amazing species we are today is because of the natural diet our bodies evolved on. We ate meat, nuts, seeds, vegetables, fruits, tubers, legumes, eggs, berries, and animal fat. That is my number one recommendation. Eat pure foods that we evolved on and you are on your way to being healthy!
